The Epilepsy Society of Australia Limited welcomes applications from those interested in becoming members of our organization to assist us with our goals and objects.

Categories of membership are:

  • Ordinary membership – Consultant Medical Practitioner, A/Prof or Professor (including our scientific and neuropsychology colleagues) working in the field of epilepsy or in kindred fields in Australia, or Australian citizens/permanent residents working abroad. Annual subscription: AU$165.00 incl of GST. Entitled to vote at meetings of members.
  • Ordinary membership – special group – as for Ordinary membership, discount applies to special groups such as Trainees, Fellows, nurses, research/clinical students, community Organisations, allied health, EEG scientist/ technicians, research Scientist (non-professorial), parental leave. Annual subscription: AU$82.50 incl of GST. Entitled to vote at meetings of members.
  • Honorary membership – Honorary status is awarded for outstanding contribution to the field of Epilepsy. Honorary members are selected by the executive. Annual subscription is free. Not entitled to vote at meetings of members.
  • Associate membership – Associate Members may be elected to the Company from other ILAE or IBE chapters. Associate Members may be entitled to receive all of the Company’s information and discounts, but are ineligible to vote at meetings of members. Annual subscription is free.
  • Senior membership – A senior member is someone that has retired from practice but has previously been a long standing member of the ESA (> 10 years).  Annual subscription is free. Entitled to vote at meetings of members.

Memberships are 12 months from the date of payment. Memberships renew automatically and members will receive notification prior to each renewal.
