The ILAE YES
The Young Epilepsy Section (YES) of the ILAE is an international group of young people in the early stages of a career focused on the care of people living with epilepsy and/or epilepsy research. This includes neurologists, nurses, researchers, scientists, neuropsychologists, pharmacologists, mathematicians, and more!
The overarching purpose of YES is to:
- Improve the professional development of young people working with epilepsy across the globe; and
- Equitably expand the involvement of junior women and men from all regions and disciplines across the ILAE.
The YES mission is to create a new generation of epilepsy experts poised to discover and deliver state-of-the-art care to people with epilepsy well into the future. In this way, we underpin the ILAE’s vision of a world where no person’s life is limited by epilepsy.
The Australian chapter of YES (YES-ESA) are part of the international YES-ILAE and an active member of our region (YES Asia Oceania).
